Stuck In My Head - 7.29.2011

I've been pretty run down for the last few weeks. I'm in rehearsals for The Double with Babes With Blades, and I'm very excited about the show, the cast, and the character. However, I've feeling every minute of my almost-40 years during this process.

I don't know if it's the fighting, or the I've not been sleeping well (likely the latter), but I haven't felt so tired in a long time. I almost pass out immediately when I get home from rehearsal. I even slacked off on cardio work this week. (which is really odd for me).

So this number felt right.

The Weary Kind
 by Ryan Bingham

Your hearts on the loose
You rolled them sevens with nothing to lose
And this aint no place for the weary kind

You called all your shots
Shooting 8 ball at the corner truck stop
Somehow this dont feel like home anymore

And this aint no place for the weary kind
And this aint no place to lose your mind
And this aint no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try

Your body aches
From playing your guitar and sweating out the hate
The days and the nights all feel the same

The whiskey has been a thorn in your side
that doesnt forgive
the highway that calls for your heart inside

And this aint no place for the weary kind
And this aint no place to lose your mind
And this aint no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try

Your lovers warm kiss
Its too damn far from your fingertips
*Cause* you are the man that ruined the world

Your hearts on the loose
You rolled them sevens with nothing to lose
And this aint no place for the weary kind

As a bit of a bonus, here's Jeff Bridges performing the song.

It is my full intention to get back to regular blogging as soon as possible. Things have just been very, very busy for me lately.
